| vintage belt I had to wrestle back off of the boy since it was long ago absorbed into his dress up collection. |
After 10 days of glorious sunshiney weather that actually felt like summer I had begun to hope that it would stay. That the grey clouds and rain wouldn't return. But alas, it has come back with a vengeance and the street outside our house flooded again. As in, the drains were blocked and the entire road was underwater. Sigh. After wearing shorts and skirts and dresses and swimsuits for the last week and a half it felt a bit strange to layer up in the usual way for Wellington weather. I did figure out what to wear but with the rain and all had to take pictures indoors. I like me some natural light and a bit of space so these aren't ideal. You work with what you've got I suppose but I sure would like to have some more of that actual summer sunshine back.

One of my favourite dresses, long belted cardigan, tights and ankle boots. The colour and print of this dress is kinda enough on it's own without adding any more scarves/accessories/chaos into it.
Very cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteThat dress goes well with the cardi
Thanks Debbie! It was a bit schlumpy before I added the belt, the cardi lacked shape but I'm happy with how it turned out.
DeleteI agree about the dress standing up and letting it do the talking. It's a great shape on you and you look stylish and creative
ReplyDeleteAw shucks Miriam! I'm nowhere near as good at bright and colourful as you are, so I feel the need to add black to everything!
DeleteI agree! I think the print on the dress carries the outfit all on it's own. Looking lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I peeked over at your outfit too, that skirt is such a sweet colour.
DeleteVery cute! Love your hair!!

Really? I have the wildest unruly mop. I resort to putting it up way too often because of it. But thank you :)
